Welcome to the Amos Professional Unity official home

Some important informations :

This website is dedicaced to the project "AMOS Professional Unity".

Public Alpha Release 0.2 is available on download. All informations below

This project is based on the François Lionet's "AMOS Professional Official" source code
(available here : https://github.com/Francaoz/AMOS-Professional-Official and released under the MIT Licence ).
Administrer of the AMOS Professional Official source code repository, chosen by François Lionet on 2020.05.03 are Colin Vella and Phaze101.
I am not involved in any way with Colin Vella nor Phaze101 in the administration of the official Amos Prfessional Source code repository mentioned above. I have no links with the official Amos Professional Source code repository.

Amos Professional Unity (X2 Project) if the natural evolution of my previous Amos Professional project "Amos Professional AGA (The X Project)". The source code structure was entirely reviewed and restructured far more than it was the case in "the X Project". Some files are now splitted in separate components (copper list, sprites, bobs, screens, etc.) to makes changes being easier.

But technically, what does Amos Professional Unity brings compared to the old Amos Professional 2.0 ?

First of all, Amos Professional Unity is not related to the Unity Engine. The term unity was chosen to "unify all amiga 68k compatibles platforms around Amos Professional".
Secondly, Amos Professional Unity allows :
- The use of to 256 colors in low (320pix) and high (640pix) resolution using 24 bits precision.
- The use of Ham8.
- The use of AGA Sprites up to 64 pixels wide and combinations like Amos Professional 2.0 did, but enhanced to AGA capabilities
- The use of 2x16 colours screens in dual playfield mode
- The use of a new Fading system handling the entire 256 colors palette using 24 bits colors precision (before 32 or 64EHB)
- The use of a new Rainbow system using 24 bits colors precision.
- The use of Bobs and Icons up to 256 colors. That can be saved to disk and loaded from disk as standard Amos Professional memory banks
- The capability to load and save iff/ilbm files with up to 256 colors or Ham8.
And many more others interesting things...

Concerning Amos Professional Unity development core

Both Amos Professional AGA and Amos Professional Unity projects are standalone projects. This mean that I, Frédéric Cordier (080875AEP) , am alone to work on the source code of these projects. Of course, when I need informations, I post a question on Facebook group "Amiga Code" where I can get ponctual help about an hardware or OS subject. It's the only place where I have posted questions related to Amiga Hardware use. I also look documentations available about Amiga OS & Hardware(s). Sometime I receive (unsollicited) information from Amiga users/developer per email on private message (Facebook),
But help stop here.

2021.04.03 : Important information concerning www.amigaworld.net (2021.04.12 update)
__________________________________________________________________________________

The situation on amigaworld.net get cleared. The profile finished by stopping it's abusive comportment but one fact still exists.
With this whole story, I asked mod & admin of Amiga World dot net to remove 1 thread and 1 news from the website and they did not respect this.
It show me that the mod & admin of amigaworld.net themselved are irresponsible people. By not deleting my threads/news after I requested them, they become guilty of not respecting the law and more specifically the GDPR law.
https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/guide-to-data-protection/guide-to-the-general-data-protection-regulation-gdpr/
https://law.stackexchange.com/questions/32361/does-a-user-have-the-right-to-request-their-forum-posts-deleted

Previous information about AmigaWorld.net :
On some place like www.amigaworld.net, a pseudo said he is "responsible" of the availability of Amos Professional Unity.
He said that I am "his developer". He claim that without him, the project would never reach the current state of development.
everything he said is fully wrong. This guy is just a liar that try to discredit the project and bring things to him.
With the fact, after contacting admin of this forum several times, they decided to do nothing using the excuse that "it is humour" to not assume their responsability of being admin/owner of the forum, and to be responsible of what happen on it when they leave things instead of acting,
I have decided something important :
1. I have requested admin to delete anything related to Amos Professional Unity on amigaworld.net
2. I have decided to NO MORE post news about the project in this place as everyone lets bad intentionned peoples do whatever they want.
As A-Eon Technologies are the registrant of the website (https://www.whois.com/whois/amigaworld.net ) I contacted them to request them to act because they are the legal responsible if nothing is done to make people respect laws (and stop harassment).

The only official place to get informations about Amos Professional Unity news is here. on MY domain frederic-cordier.fr

I am also the target of bad intentioned person that follow my youtube channel and always post with a fake account, a comment linking to a forbidden website (and a negative feedback to make my youtube channel lost visibility) each time I post a new video (it occurs approx 2hours after the release of the video). If you see these comments before me, please report them to Youtube.

Amos Professional Unity is a fully independant project I'm working on ALONE from the beginning.
No one helped me on that project !

I wish you have fun.
